MISSION STATEMENT

Steamboat Island Community Preschool recognizes that each child grows and develops at their own pace. We seek to support their individual development in an atmosphere where children can explore their environment and the world around them through Reggio inspired play based learning. 

​Our school embraces the philosophy that early childhood should be a time of fun, exploration and discovery. Our goal is to provide a balanced preschool program for the whole child, by providing opportunities and activities that will nurture children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.

NONPROFIT – COMMUNITY SCHOOL

Est. 1972 – Steamboat Island Community Preschool is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit school operated by a parent member Board of Directors. Community Preschools promotes learning through exploration, play and social interaction.

As a nonprofit school, donations of any size are always appreciated and crucial to our ability to continue to provide early childhood education in our community!
